Growing up, my mom made sure we ate lots of whole grains: whole wheat bread, brown rice, and oats. But once I moved out of the house and could make my own decisions, I opted for white bread, lots of pasta, and of course crackers. I actually thought things made with white flour tasted better than those made with whole grain.
