That’s it. I’m dropping out of culinary school and moving to Sorrento. Don’t get me wrong – Paris is wonderful, but there’s something about living a slow and blissful life in Southern Italy that can’t be beat.

Nothing makes me feel more like a girl than a day of shopping with my mom. Since I had an extra week of vacation, she came for a great visit. My favorite day was spent with her and Lani in the Madeline area. Our legs got a great workout – as did my credit card.

I’ve always argued quite vehemently that I’m not a girly girl. I don’t wear lots of pink. I’m relatively low maintenance, and I’m not overly feminine. But now that we’re done with class, I’m excited to get to be a girl again.
