It’s like having a huge cheerleading section out there. Although I’ve bitched and complained each week, and shared my ups and downs, my readers have been there for me every step of they way. You’ve commented on my stories, sent me emails of encouragement and shared similar stories. You’ve kept me going through nine weeks of hell, and for that I thank you.
I hope I’ve given you an accurate glimpse into what it’s like to work in a three star kitchen, but I also hope you haven’t grown tired with my constant whimpering. When I accepted this internship, I knew it was going to be hard. I just didn’t know how hard. It’s been cathartic being able to express my frustrations on Chez Tse, but I’ve also shared some very personal feelings. I’m sure there are those who would tell me that putting my emotions and feelings out there for the entire world to read is a bad idea. But it’s part of the experience, and since you’re on the journey with me, you have a right to know.
Only one week left. And then a week of relaxation. Well, not really. The list of things to do is a mile long, but finally I’ll have some time to get them done. And there’s a new adventure just around the corner. My pastry internship is confirmed, but until I have everything in writing, I won’t reveal it just yet.
Stay tuned...
