1 cup water
1/2 cup Basmati rice
1 inch piece fresh ginger
1 teaspoon curry powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
Using a peeler, peel the ginger and cut it into four pieces. Add all ingredients to a small saucepan, and bring to a boil. Turn down the heat, cover, and let simmer 15 to 17 minutes. When rice is fully cooked, fluff with a fork.
