There’s a kitchen store in Paris that is probably as old as Paris itself. Dehillerin is an absolute institution, so on a day we don’t have class until the afternoon, I propose a group field trip.

I think I can confidently say that French people are best met at the table over food. On Sunday, Madame had a family reunion. Since my mom was in town, we both accepted an invitation – a glimpse of life with a French family.

Bordeaux

I’m never been a big fan of Bordeaux wines. I know it’s like a feeding frenzy when the new vintages are released, and good, old bottles can fetch several thousand bottles in the open market. But I’ve never really been all that captivated by the wine. Until now.
