Yes it’s true!! After eight long months, Geoffroy finally received his fiancé visa. He is now free and clear to enter the US and marry me. Once he arrived into the US, we have 90 short days to get married. Instead of trying to plan a big wedding on such short notice, we’ll be having a “quickie” wedding – just a small ceremony with family to make our union official. Then several months later, we’ll have a second marriage so we can celebrate with a larger circle.
Because Geoffroy signed a contract to work at Le Cordon Bleu until mid-November, he doesn’t want to end his job right away. Instead, I’ll fly over the end of August to help him pack up. We’ll take three or four days to drive from Paris to Nice to see his parents, and then I get to bring him home in September.
Along the way, we’ve heard many horror stories about foreigners trying to get US visas. Although we did have a few tiny setbacks, we consider ourselves very, very lucky. Trying to gain entry to this great country of ours requires lots of paperwork, perseverance, and patience.
Once Geoffroy arrives, we have a whole new adventure and paperwork as we adjust his status from visa holder to permanent resident. But we’ll think about that later!
For you are mine… At last!

I'm happy that the visa process went so well for you.
