Go Amy!

I know some of you out there are big fans of the reality TV show, Top Chef. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that you’ll be seeing Amy on the next season. A week before her last day at our three-star Parisian restaurant, I helped film some of her audition tape. Amy has a natural presence in front of the camera and a personality the show shouldn’t pass up. If you’ve read any of her blog or her posts on my site, you know she’s a natural.

I like Amy and I like Top Chef, but I'm not sure that Amy should appear on the show. The producers seem more interested in who can be most obnoxious, than who can cook. You may have noticed that the most obnoxious person in reality shows almost always makes it to the final, regardless of their ability. I know a chef (Carlos, in Fort Lauderdale) who was on the show. He said it was an interesting experience but he would never do it again!
