Drawings
Lani and I proudly display the drawing we did for our final exam. When we presented our plates to the judges, we needed to have the recipe (written in French) and a drawing of the plating.

Massimo
At his appointed time, Massimo carefully prepares his four plates for the judges.

Final DIsh
Three of the four plates for my final. I had some problems at the end keeping the plates hot, cooking the fish to the perfect temperature, and making everything look beautiful.

Friends
My friends Carol and Byron came to Paris for graduation. It was such an honor to have them in the crowd along with my mom and Madame.
-
Pierre Gagnaire
To celebrate graduation, my mom and our friends Carol and Byron went to Pierre Gagnaire. We had the honor of meeting the chef in person. He is a genius with flavors, colors and textures.

Tasting Menu
I ordered the tasting menu for dinner. This is my first dish of shrimp, zucchini and other fun things.
-
Mushrooms
Dish five was a heavenly combination of porchini mushrooms, beets, onions and a miso broth.
-
Main Dish
Seven dishes later, I arrived at my main course - a thin slice of veal wrapped around foie gras. Now I'm usually not a fan of foie gras, but this was heaven.
-
Dessert
I think this is dessert number three of seven. There were so many I was able to share my single order with the whole table.

The Greatest Honor
I managed a smile for the camera through tears of joy. Thank goodness my mascara didn't run!
