Cuisine Final
My final dish for the cuisine final - roasted lamb with a garnish of spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes and potatoes.
-
Passion Fruit and Raspberry Tart
And here's my the tart I completed for the pastry exam. I was happy that it looked better than the one I did in practical class almost two months ago.
-
Opera
It's not perfect, but it's done. And the chefs seemed pretty happy with the results.

Madame
Madame came to graduation. She looked so lovely.
-
Chef Danniel
Chef Danniel, pastry chef extraodinare, awarded me my diploma earlier on stage.

Sweet Sergio
Isn't he just adorable? Don't know what I would do without Sergio by my side!
-
Group A
Several members of Group A made it to graduation. We're celebrating with Susan's husband, our translator and Dominique's sister.
-
Chef Bruno
I think Chef Bruno was proud of all of us. He was our chef in Basic and liked to check in with us from time to time. We miss having him in class.

Kitchen Tour
After graduation, we wandered over to Maxim's. Not sure if we could get in without a reservation at this hundred year old Paris institution, we went anyway. We met the PR director who found out we were culinary students and gave us a tour of the kitchen. I don't think the Chef (in white) was too thrilled to see us, but the experience was fantastic!

Maxim's
Here we are enjoying our celebratory dinner at Maxims.

Dancing
Sergio takes Dominique out for a spin on the dance floor at Maxim's. They had the dance floor installed in the main dining room back when Tango was all the rage.
